Young Telugu Desam leaders are actively participating in the party programmes  unlike in the past to protect the interests of the farmers.

These young leaders were seen prominently on the dais and given opportunity to address the gatherings during party meetings organized on farmers’ problems.

Earlier, young leaders were not associated with the problems like that of farmers and confined themselves to student issues and there was no priority given to them one year ago.

These young leaders are attracting farmers in particular and people in general with their aggressive speeches targeting the TRS and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

It is said that Nara Lokesh was instrumental in establishing party welfare fund to help the party leaders and cadre in the districts and also introducing Rs 2 lakh insurance cover to the members take party active membership.

Speaking to this newspaper, T. Veerender Goud said ‘it was the prime responsibility of the young leaders to bring positive changes in the society and fight for them while striving hard to achieve their personal goals in the politics.

He said state government should spend more funds to create facilities in the SC, ST and BC hostel instead on festivals like Bathukamma and added that Telugu Yuvatha is planning to organize agitations with college students on fee reimbursement and improvement of facilities in the government hostels.
