Top district police officials interacting with Adivasis
The district police are digging up the hideouts of the Maoists in Indravelli and Tiryani, Bheemini, Kotapalli, Dahegoan mandals and along the river Pranhitha, and investigating how food is being supplied to the Maoists in them in the district.

They are also conducting free medical camps in the areas, said to be Maoist-affected like Tiryani and Indravelli.

Top police official walked in the interior areas, known to be Maoist-affected after engaging the local police and special party police, who combed the area prior to the holding medical camp, which is useful as a ruse and the fulfillment of a need of the people.

The police officials have launched their adventurous trip in that area just after attending the medical camp on that particular day.

Superintendent police Dr. Tarun Joshi said that ‘there are a large number of Maoists sympathizers and militants staying in the district and it is a regular activity for the police, counseling them and prevent them from extending support toe extremists’.

The police recently arrested few persons from Kotapalli,Dahegoan and Bheemini mandals on the charges of being Maoists sympathizers. They are devising their own informant’s network in the interior Maoist- affected areas to track the Maoists’ movements.

Top police official believes that the Maoists’ movements can be restricted with the cracking down on the Maoists sympathizers, thereby cutting off food and shelter in the interior areas of the district.
